PART 2: The wedding stopped… when a barefoot child ran down the aisle.

Soft organ music filled the chapel.

Golden light poured through stained glass.

Everything was perfect.

Still.

Until—

bare feet slapped hard against marble.

A child’s voice tore through the silence.

“Wait!”

Heads snapped toward the aisle.

Guests turned sharply.

Gasps spread.

A small barefoot boy ran forward—

fast—

desperate—

straight to the altar.

He stopped inches from the groom.

Breathing hard.

Shaking.

Daniel frowned.

Confused.

No one moved.

The boy slowly raised his hand.

A small silver bracelet rested in his palm.

He dropped it into Daniel’s hand.

“My mom said… give you this today.”

Silence crushed the room.

Daniel looked down.

The bracelet caught the light—

and something inside him broke.

His face drained.

His hand began to shake—

violently.

He fell to his knees—

the impact echoing across the marble.

Whispers erupted.

The bride stepped back.

Fear rising.

“Daniel… what is that?”

He didn’t answer.

Couldn’t.

He stared at it—

like it was alive.

Like it was impossible.

The boy’s voice cracked.

“That’s my mom.”

The chapel froze even deeper.

Daniel slowly lifted his eyes—

looked at the boy—

really looked this time.

Scanning his face.

Searching.

Recognizing.

His breath became uneven.

“…where is she?”

The question barely made it out.

The boy opened his mouth—

ready to answer—

The entire room leaned forward—

holding its breath—

But before he could speak—

the bride stepped in.

Voice shaking.

“Daniel… who is this child?”

Daniel’s face shattered—

completely—

And just before the truth came out—

Part 2 in the comments.
