It smashed across the floor.
Water spread over the tiles while she stayed on her knees crying beside the chair.
And in that chair—
his fiancée sat comfortably with her feet stretched toward his mother.
“Wash properly,” she said coldly.
⚡ whip-pan to the hallway.
A soldier stood frozen in the doorway.
Uniform dusty.
Eyes locked on his crying mother.
His bag dropped from his hand.
THUD.
The mother looked up first.
Tears instantly filled her eyes.
“My son…”
The fiancée turned with annoyance—
then her face drained completely.
“You’re home early…”
But he said nothing.
Only slow heavy bootsteps across the floor while every person in the room fell silent.
He knelt beside his mother gently.
Lifted her from the floor.
Took the towel from her shaking hands and wiped her tears himself.
“Stand up, Mom.”
His voice stayed terrifyingly calm.
Then he slowly turned toward his fiancée.
Something cold had entered his eyes now.
She forced a nervous smile.
“It was just a joke…”
The soldier picked up the water container calmly.
Walked closer.
Then removed the engagement ring from his finger.
CLINK.
The ring dropped into the water loud enough for the entire house to hear.
Nobody breathed.
The soldier stared directly at her.
“Drink first.”
Her face collapsed instantly.
Then he pointed toward the open front door.
“Then leave my house.”
His mother cried silently behind him while the fiancée realized she had just lost everything.
